** NEW ** The National Stroke Association Professional Meeting entitled Stroke: The Full Continuum of Care will be held in Bloomington on September 22-23, 2008. More information on this meeting for the Central region can be found at this registration website. Early registration ends August 1, 2008 with a final cutoff for registration on September 12, 2008.

The American Heart Association has developed a CME podcast discussing the highlights and new science from the recent International Stroke Conference. The podcast is hosted by the American Heart Association's Chief Science Officer, Dr. Rose Marie Robertson and features ISC Chairman, Dr. Philip Gorelick. The discussion includes late breaking clinical trials and sessions, controversial subjects and Stroke in Women. This audio activity is accredited to offer AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(tm). The Science OnDemand Focus on Acute Ischemic Stroke Treatment and Thrombolytics is an Accredited Continuing Education Program comprising 10 presentations related to Acute Ischemic Stroke Treatment
and Thrombolytics captured live from the American Stroke Association's International Stroke Conference 2007. This program will include three modules of presentations that feature synchronized slides and audio as well as written transcription. The American Heart Association will grant continuing education credit from 1 to 2.5 hours, depending on the number of modules and post-tests successfully completed.
